Our Investigations Division is responsible for further investigation of felony cases reported by victims in Newton County. Cases may include burglary, felony theft, vehicle tampering, crimes against children, financial crimes, felony assault, etc.

you must first make an appointment with the Evidence Officer prior to the release of any property.

Victim Advocate/Victim Services:Victim advocates are professionals trained to support victims of crime. Advocates offer victims information, emotional support, and help finding resources and filling out paperwork. Sometimes, advocates go to court with victims. Advocates may also contact organizations, such as criminal justice or social service agencies, to get help or information for victims.
